An interview with Katarína Krnáčová, the co-producer of "Her Body", interviewer Nikolaj Nikitin
"The film ""Her Body"" is inspired by a former Czech professional diver who had to change careers due to a severe injury. Encouraged by her photographer friend, she chose a new career in the porn industry, which was known as a goldmine in the 1990s. However, it's not a vulgar film; rather, it tells a story that despite a person's work, life choices and relationship with their body, no one has the right to criticize them. It emphasizes the importance of accepting that different people have different boundaries in life.
Director Natalie Cisarovska is the granddaughter of the famous Czech painter Josef Cisarovsky, and she continues the family's artistic legacy in the world of film. She focuses on documentary-style films where she can address current social issues. Katarína Krnáčová, the co-producer of the film is renowned in the industry, having 15 years of experience by today, and having launched the production company Silverart.
In the process of filming, the team set very concrete boundaries to spare the lead actress' psyche, and made filming the unsettling moments of the plot as comfortable for her as possible, for example by hiring her husband for one of the explicit scenes.
""We as filmmakers are trying not to judge anything or anyone. We are just telling a story and leaving it up to the audience to make their opinion about it, and we are encouraging not to be judgemental.""
