After twenty years behind bars, a bank robber is released from prison. His ex-wife Marjaleena, a former pageant runner-up who has become a drunk together with her son and a new partner. While running a club on the sunny coast of Spain, she gets a whiff of the big money that her ex-husband has been hiding from her. But Marjaleena has a soul of a survivor and takes the reins in the whirlwind of events.
Jukka Pekka Valkeanpää studied film directing at the Helsinki University of Art and Design. He has directed short films and commercials, as worked as an artist and a graphic designer.
