Ove Musting’s debut film is based on true events and is set during the summer of 1990. After years of hard work Estonia’s basketball team Kalev has to make an even harder choice. The Soviet Union is collapsing, Estonia is striving towards independence and Estonian people oppose Kalev’s participation in the Soviet Union’s basketball championship. Men who have dedicated their life to sports and trained for one sole goal have to make a tough and unpopular choice to still participate.
Director Ove Musting graduated from the Tallinn Pedagogical University with a BA in Audiovisual Arts. He has created award-winning short features and ads, music videos, TV shows and multicam live broadcasts. He is also a founding member of the band called Winny Puhh. "Kalev'' is Ove`s first feature film.
