Interview with Szilárd Bernáth, director of the film "Larry", interviewer Helena Maarja Tarro
“There are a lot of improvisations in the movie.” - Szilárd Bernáth
A violent policeman father and miserable circumstances fuel Larry's unwavering desire to write. He raps the songs on the tape under a bridge. "Larry" is an in-your-face and heart-wrenching film.
Szilárd Bernáth graduated from Eötvös Loránd University in 2010 with a degree in film studies. In 2017, his short film “Pay Day” had its international premiere at the Clemont-Ferrand Film Festival, and won the Hungarian Film Critics Award in 2017. “Larry” is the director's first feature film, which was helped to finance by the Hungarian National Film Fund.
