An interview with Jorge Cuchí, the director of "Bad Actor", interviewer Milani Perera.
"After dedicating 25 years of his life to the advertising industry, Jorge Cuchi (born in 1963) returned to his first love, the world of filmmaking. Through films, he can tell stories that are close to his heart.
In his first film, ""50 or Two Whales Meet on the Beach,"" he also addressed the highly dangerous Blue Whale Challenge that had spread among young people in Estonia through social media. In this challenge, participants had to complete 50 tasks, with the final task being suicide. The film garnered attention at the 2020 PÖFF due to its sharpness and the relevance of the topic, winning the Best Film award at Just Film.
In his second film, ""Bad Actor,"" he examines the post-#MeToo world where harassment and sexual aggression have not disappeared.
His knowledge brought from the advertising industry, understanding how to engage the viewer's attention, gives Cuchi a unique skill in telling deeper stories.
