“In the Morning of la Petite Mort” by auteur Yu-Lin Wang is a cinematic discovery from unfortunately very troubled Taiwan. This Taiwanese cinematic voice tells us a story about the intertwined lives of people in a big city – a food delivery driver who is in love with a prostitute and a Filipino cleaning lady who is often sexually harassed by the community superintendent.
Yu-Lin Wang graduated from the Department of Forestry and Resource Conservation at National Taiwan University before studying film in New York. In addition to his ability in overall planning and execution, he is known for his extreme sensitivity as a filmmaker.
