Interview with Carlos Osuna, the director of "Job Interview", interviewer Dhanuska Gunathilake
“A sound that allows to create the notion of the inside and the outside.” - Carlos Osuna
With series of masterful shots and exciting happenings, "Job Interview" gives us a deeper understanding of Colombia than we have ever seen on screen before. The story is addictive to watch, inviting the viewer to understand and try explaining its vivid plot after the credits roll. The main character of the film, Gabriel, is a young rapper who lives in the suburbs of Bogota. We follow his daily struggles to make his dreams come true. His friends, family, arrangements and affairs invite us to witness from afar. But do we really know what's going on?
Carlos Osuna is joining us in the studio today. A long-time friend of the film festival, he has participated in BNFF's Official Selection Competition programme in 2017. Osuna is making waves as a musician and filmmaker, and this year he brings a bold film which simultaneously focuses on serious topics and crazy twists. Carlos Osuna makes us question both the true motives of the characters as well as the reality itself.
