Interview with Filip Heraković, the director of "Pelican"
“This is, more than anything, a film about the identity crisis of one person, and it’s very universal in that theme.” - Filip Heraković
Josiph is the goalkeeper of a beloved soccer club, who loses his social and material capital after an unfortunate skiing accident. The unexpected accident forces Josiph to rehabilitate in a sanatorium, where a faceless and unglamorous atmosphere places Josiph far from his previous life. With a satirical touch, the story offers an insight into the core of being human and a status that can plummet.
Filip Heraković graduated from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb as a film and TV director. The films he made during his studies were selected for both domestic and international film festival programs. Heraković is also a member of the Croatian Film Directors' Guild.
