“And Yet We Were All Blind” tells the intimate story of Claire, a mother of two children, who leads a well-balanced life with her husband. When the police find a newborn near their house who is believed to be Claire’s, their lives are thrown into turmoil. Extensively documented and relying on the testimonies of various experts, Béatrice Pollet directs this judicial thriller with great finesse, without seeking to find a common explanation for this highly complex subject, but instead shedding light on another taboo with which the woman's body is confronted.
Béatrice Pollet is a graduate of Ecole Louis-Lumière, image section. From 1988 to 2011, she worked as a script supervisor with directors such as Philippe Lioret, Raùl Ruiz, Hiner Saleem, Jean Marboeuf, Jean Baronnet, Thierry Binisti and many others. She has written and directed three short films and also documentaries. In 2012, she directed her first feature film, "Le Jour de la grenouille".
