""Popular Theory"" is already the 14th acting job for the young actress Sophia Reid-Gantzer. In addition to being one of the busiest young actresses, Sophia is also a talented ballerina. In 2019, she became one of the youngest dancers to be accepted into the Paris Opera Ballet program.
The film ""Popularity Theory"" is a humorous look into the life of an 11-year-old girl genius. Due to her extensive knowledge, Erwin is already studying in high school, but is rejected by others because of her nerdiness. Motivated by the problem of loneliness, she begins to collaborate with another scientist in her class, Winston, to develop a chemical that makes its user the most popular person in the room. Is everything that comes with popularity what they wished for?
Director Ali Scher, realizing that her true passion was telling unique and quality stories for children, Ali wrote and directed ""The Maiden and the Princess"", as her final project in university. The short film won the DGA Jury Award for Best Female Filmmaker, the USC Faculty Award for Best Director and a Student Emmy. Since then, Ali has directed numerous commercials and short web series episodes for DreamworksTV.
